Shop at Amazon and benefit Aro Charities

If you buy anything from Amazon and you would like to benefit the Aro charities Amazon will donate about 6% of the price.

If you follow these special links: amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, or amazon.de before buying, Amazon will send about 6% of your purchase to an Aro charity.

Please note:
  • Doing this does not affect the amount you pay Amazon. It comes out of their pocket, not yours
  • This applies to the US, UK, and German versions of Amazon (.com, .co.uk, and .de).
  •  It applies to anything at all you buy from them, from Aardvarks to Zyzzyva
  •  This works year-round
Over the past year, Amazon has made donations to the Aro charities. If more people who buy from Amazon participated, it could probably be a considerable amount. The hitch is that it's hard to remember to do what's necessary.

For future reference you can also find this information on the Shop at Amazon page http://arobuddhism.org/community/shop-at-amazon.html (You might like to bookmark that).

Thank you very much for your generosity.

2012-12-07/09 - Vertrauen in das grenzenlose Selbst entwickeln - Rig´dzin Dorje - Schaffhousen, Switzerland

Vertrauen in das grenzenlose Selbst entwickeln

Weekend event with Rig´dzin Dorje

Freitag, 07.12., 19:30-22:00
Samstag, 08.12., 10:00-19:00
Sonntag, 09.12., 10:00-14:00

Schaffhausen Friedbergstr.61 Schaffhausen, Switzerland

Becoming Confident in Limitless Self

The Song of the Owl Headed Dakini (’ug gDong mKha’ ’gro sNying thig mDo / Ulukha-mukha Dakini Upadesha Sutra) is a cycle of thirteen teachings from the 20thC enlightened dakini Khyungchen Aro Lingma. She was a full incarnation of Yeshé Tsogyel, who was the consort of the Tantric Buddha Padmasambhava and the first Tibetan woman to become a Buddha. These teachings explain the core topics of the Buddhist Sutras from the perspective of Dzogchen. Everything Buddhists know as the long, effortful, gradual path according to the familiar teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha can be understood afresh, as the effortless peaceful path of immediate self-liberation. The earliest historical stratum of Buddhism becomes knowable and practicable without the implied necessity of a monastic lifestyle.

2012-11-02/04 - Wearing the body of visions - Rig´dzin Dorje - Wien, Austria

Wearing the Body of Visions

Meditation and Everyday Life in Buddhist Tantra

Weekend event with Rig´dzin Dorje

2 - 4 of November 2012
Friday: 19:00 - 22:00
Saturday: 10:00 - 20:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 13:00

Shambhala Zentrum Wien
Stiftgasse 15-17, 1070
Wien, Austria

This course describes Tantra in fresh, creative, contemporary language. It offers a direct opening into the Buddhist path of self-transformation through visionary experience. This is a hot-blooded arena of both meditation practice and daily life, explained from the radical perspective of the most simple, direct and immediate vehicle of Tantra, the ‘Total Completeness’ teachings (Dzogchen). Ngala Rig'dzin Dorje exposes the heart-essence of the most dynamic dramas of the Tantric practitioner: indestructible relationship with the teacher; the iridescent nature of transmission; and the fire of empowerment.

Ngala Rig'dzin Dorje will be giving Tantric ritual empowerments into visionary practices (to be announced). His commentary, explanation and advice will reflect and introduce his Root Teacher Ngak’chang Rinpoche’s book Wearing the Body of Visions.

‘As soon as we begin to practice silent sitting meditation, to stare into the nature of what we are, we become a little suspicious of our life-event. It could be quite possible that things are both not what they seem, and simultaneously exactly what they seem. This could be called the Tantric joke, the Vajra sense of humour that continually prompts us to ask the question: “What is going on?”’
— Ngak’chang Rinpoche, Wearing the Body of Visions.

Friday evening: € 30
Weekend: € 150

L’énergie des émotions comme pratique spirituelle Retraite sur les cinq éléments du Vajrayana

Non-residential weekend with Nor´dzin Pamo and ´ö-Dzin Tridral
